Going Between Towns

Highways, train tracks, rivers, and flight paths can go across and between existing simulations, even on different servers, to help bring continuity to those simulations.

Train enthusiast have been sharing their love of the train for their whole lives. Individually or in groups, they spend lots of money and time to build elaborate sets on tables. Check your local book store or grocery store for train simulation magazines; they sell well showing that there are train enthusiast all around you. Yes, there are train simulators in software. This is a different kind of train simulation; this will be a Train MMO.

Such enthusiast, when working with like minded individuals, could make large scale interactive historic simulations. Like WebRing went between web sites, groups can make lines that go through a particular themes, like the only Victorian towns. They can go through fantasy towns, like steam punk towns and gnome towns. They can have long tracks that cross through scarce towns, cities, or beautiful vistas. They can ride on many kinds of tracks; long level tracks, raised tracks, tunnels, or bridges. The would go through dense forest that are only broken by an occasional giant water fall or open field of deer and bears. Any place where a track can be built would be where a train can follow.

The trains themselves would be made by enthusiast. Such trains could be purchased at an virtual train store. A whole market can be made for virtual trains. The trains can have their interior separate from the main simulation to help prevent lag.

Agreements can be done where the train can be given land in order to run the train through a town. The town can let the train enthusiast build a station that would let people travel between simulated towns.

Similar agreements can be reached with taxis or passenger aircraft.
